Magnus Larsson is a co-founding partner of ORDINARY LTD, an east London-based design and architecture studio that operates at the intersection of material science and the built environment. His inspired 2009 TED Global Talk, now translated into 25+ languages, set in motion a worldwide trend of speculative projects investigating architecture at the bacterial – and continental – scale. The maverick architect lectures frequently on the global stage, plans to take over the world with taller timber buildings than you’ve ever heard of, and enjoys writing dense academic chapters with titles such as Invincible Cities for the Materiomic Age (Springer, 2013). He lives in London and Stockholm.
